How long do I have to hold my CLP before taking the CDL skills test?

Federal rule (adopted by Texas) requires a minimum 14-day CLP hold before you can take the CDL skills test.

Does Texas require ELDT for first-time CDL applicants?

Yes. Federal ELDT applies in Texas. Take training through an FMCSA-registered provider before scheduling the skills test or the H/P/S endorsement test.
