It happens. Here's what Texas DPS allows, and how to come back stronger.

Knowledge test retake

Texas DPS allows up to three attempts within a 90-day period for the knowledge test. If you fail three times, you may need to wait before reapplying. Confirm current policy at the DPS office.

Skills test retake

You must schedule a new appointment and may be subject to additional fees. ELDT does not need to be repeated unless your CLP has expired.
